Also taking part in the relief efforts was District 64 Representative Kreg Battles.

We caught up with him at the North Knox High School gym as he met with the Indiana National Guard and Knox County EMA.

Battles says he spent the majority of the day traveling though Daviess and Knox counties speaking with residents about the damage they have suffered and what he can do to help:

"I don't think you can out it into words; it's devastating. I think it's just that helpless feeling that you would love to do something but this is clearly an act of God and it's well beyond my power but i have talked with the EMA and the National Guard and anything I can do as a state representative I will do to cooperate with them without getting in their way and interrupt on their efforts and more than anything right now just pray."

Battles says he will stay in the area and try to help as best he can.

He says he will be in contact with state officials, including Governor Mitch Daniels about relief efforts.
