Not only are unelected candidates left wondering what to do next, but their staffs as well. We caught up with staffers from congressional candidate Greg Goode's campaign. Field coordinator Nancy Deckard says she joined Goode's staff while working as a volunteer. The recent Indiana State University graduate planned to enter the workforce as a teacher, but has caught the political bug. After six months with Goode's campaign she was hooked. Deckard says she doesn't have a plan 'B' but was prepared for either way the vote went. "I always knew that I wouldn't know, I always knew that November 4 would be a huge factor in what I was going to do with the rest of my life honestly," Deckard said. "I knew there was a chance that on November 5 I would be sitting here saying I don't know what I am going to do. I knew that could happen and I am okay with it and I'm sure that something good will come along." Staffers at Goode's campaign headquarters were busy picking up campaign signs Wednesday. They say it's too early to start planning a next move. |
