Ingredients: -1 lb. of lean ground beef -1/2 cup finely chopped parsley -1/2 cup finely chopped green onions -1 egg lightly beaten -3 tbsp. lemon juice -salt and pepper to taste Directions: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and shape into patties or small football shapes Grill until done Yields 2-8 ounce servings. Serve with Tzatziki sauce and pita bread Tzatziki sauce can be purchased or made. It includes: -1 cup grated, seeded cucumber -2 tbsp. dried mint -1 cup of greek style yogurt -2 minced garlic cloves -salt to taste Directions: Put cucumber on several layers of paper towels and sprinkle with salt. Let stand for 30 minutes Combine cucumber, yogurt, and the rest of the ingredients, mix well until blended Place in refrigerator for about one hour before serving |
