Reported by: Marcy Foust Tuesday, Feb 17, 2009 @03:58pm EST An assignment for Rose-Hulman students could make the college and county more environmentally friendly.
Students enrolled in the technical communications course had to come up with a “green" idea. They had to present those ideas on a poster, and answer questions about their proposals on Tuesday. Juniors typically take this course to better their communication skills. But Dr. Anneliese Watt says some ideas do get put to good use. “We don't just want generic sustainability ideas. Recycling is good for the environment. Instead we want them really to research the Rose-Hulman campus and what makes it unique or the Vigo County area if they choose to do a Vigo County project.” The students are graded on their written and oral project presentations. |
