The city of Robinson, Illinois has a new mayor.

City Council members selected Alderman Roger Pethtel to fill the position Tuesday night.

Pethtel has been serving as the interim mayor since Gary Davis passed away last week.

Pethtel will serve until the next municipal election in 2011.
