Go to Indiana's Department of Education website and you can find lots of information including a high schools graduation rate for the past three years.

We looked at the graduation rates of the 27 public high schools in our viewing area. Barr-Reeve High School came out on top with an average of more than 94 percent of it's freshmen going on to graduate as seniors.

Rounding at the top five are South Knox, Bloomfield, North Vermillion and Loogootee.

The state average graduation rate for the past three years is around 76 percent.

Fourteen of the 27 schools failed to meet the state average during at least one of the last three years. They are Eastern, Linton, North Knox, Northview, Owen Valley, Riverton-Parke, Rockville, Shakamak, Shoals, South Vermillion, Union-Dugger, Vincennes Lincoln, Washington and White River Valley.
 
Four of those schools, Linton, Union,  Vinncennes and Washington have never met the state graduation average during the past three years.
