The new Star Trek movie is doing well at the box office, but one Linton woman has a special tie to the original Star Trek series.

Ruby Moon-Houldson is an author. She's written 35 books including a biograpahy of Star Trek cast member James Doohan who played Scotty.

 She also writes for Planet Expo, which puts on Star Trek conventions and for Roddenberry Productions.

 Ruby has met all of the original Star Trek cast members and says she communicates with Leonard Nimoy on a regular basis.
