Reported by: Marcy Foust Monday, Aug 3, 2009 @03:52pm EDT The summer heat didn't seem to bother Colts fans Monday.
The stands at Rose-Hulman's football field were filled with blue-and-white supporters.
Fans say they didn't want to miss the very first practice for the 2009 Colts Camp. Some looked forward to seeing the new coach while others looked forward to seeing the practice and players. K.J. Lowe is glad the team returned to Terre Haute. “It's pretty cool. It's local they're going to the local community and supporting everybody else.” His brother Tyler has high hopes for the team this year. “I'm really excited I think the Colts are gonna do pretty good and go to post season again.” Nita Howk decided to drop by camp at the last minute. “My husband and I like to ride the national trail on our bikes so we decided to stop and come see the colts we're gonna try to come several times this week.” One of the most enthusiastic fans at Monday’s practice was Christopher Trail. “It's awesome! I learned a little bit of stuff how to pass, and run, pretty cool.” Colts Camp continues Tuesday at Rose-Hulman. Practices are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and special teams will practice at 3:30 p.m. |
