Reported by: Jon Swaner Tuesday, Aug 25, 2009 @06:40pm EDT One group wants college students to know how energy costs impacts what they pay for tuition.
Representatives from the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE) stopped at Indiana State University Tuesday. They're touring college campuses across Indiana. The group fears college tuition will dramatically increase if coal does not continue to be the state's main source for electricity. They want students to realize that affordable energy keeps their costs down now and in the future. "The sooner we get to and educate them about what happens if electricity prices go up and coal's no longer in the energy mix, they can take that message into the workforce," said Christine Frogozo of ACCCE. The coalition supports energy policies that balance coals vital role producing electricity to protecting our environment. They also support clean coal technology.
