-3 LBS LEAN Ground Beef -2 cups cracked wheat (fine grind) -1 small onion pureed in processor or blender or grated -Salt and Pepper to taste Directions Wash the wheat twice before blending, drain the excess water, and add raw ground beef, onion & seasonings. Mix to incorporate all ingredients. Shape into ball and hollow it out to make a thin shell. Stuff with HASHWEE (see below) and close. Smooth outside with water if necessary and fry in 300 degree oil until brown. HASHWEE (FILLING FOR KIBBY) -1 ½ LBS of ground beef -1 small onion, diced -Salt and Pepper to taste -Dash of Cinnamon (Brown the beef and onion together. Drain the fat, if any. Add the seasoning and cool) |
