Reported by: Dan Reynolds Wednesday, Oct 7, 2009 @05:00pm EDT Google's Fast Flip web application lets you discover and share news articles. It combines the qualities of print and the web. It gives you the ability to flip through pages online as quickly as flipping through a magazine.
It enables you to follow friends, topics and discover new content. You can create your own custom magazine around searches. Fast Flip captures images of the articles then displays them in an easy-to-read way. The stories are grouped by categories. Entertainment, business and opinion. Politics too along with most viewed. You can flip through stories quickly. Keep pressing the left and right arrow keys until you find one that catches your interest. Clicking on the story takes you directly to the publisher's website. The topics are generated automatically by rising stories in the news. You can also search for any subjects you want and basically create your own topics. It's almost like a custom magazine, on the fly. (Join the WTWO Facebook page. Go to our website, click "Community" and join. Also sign up for RSS feeds of news, weather and sports. Both are free. Sign for free Weather Email. Click on Weather, scroll down and look on the left.) |
