Undefeated Casey hosted 5-4 Alton Marquette in the play-offs In the first quarter, Billy Seely would charge up the middle for a six-yard casey touchdown run as the Warriors jump out to a 7-0 lead. Later in the quarter, Nate Evans would barrell his way through the Explorer defense to add another Casey touchdown. Casey dominates Alton Marquette winning 42-7. The Warriors advance in the post sesaon to play Red Bud on the road next week. The football post-season also underway for the Marshall Lions as they hosted Westville. In the second quarter, quarterback Taylor Duncan would look to baby brother jacob for the 26-yard pass that would get the Lions down to the 10-yard line. A few plays later, Andre Strohm would take the hand-off in for a seven-yard touchdown run, putting Marshall up 21-6. Luke Nelson would pad the Marshall lead with a field goal later in the quarter. They led 24-6 at the half...Nelson would add another field goal as the Lions win 27-6 to advance in the playoffs. |
