Each were all given jail time and a thousand dollar fine. Hymera resident Hugh Dean was given 17 years in prison for distribution. Terre Haute Resident James Chambers was sentenced to more than 12 years. Both were meth dealers for Vicki Shaw. Shaw has been identified as one of the leaders of a large drug ring. "The defendants that we are sentencing over the next couple of days are a few different roles," said Assistant US District Attorney Brad Blackington. "There are some distributors, drug couriers and the organizations leaders will be sentenced probably next year sometime." Another five defendants will be sentenced in the Terre Haute federal courthouse Thursday. |
