Reported by: Marcy Foust Thursday, Nov 5, 2009 @03:24pm EST The Lighthouse Mission Thrift Store opened in its new Terre Haute location at 7th and Hulman on Thursday. It's in the old Napa building.
The move was made because the new space is bigger, has better traffic flow, and is more affordable. Workers have spent the past month getting the new store ready. Reverend Timothy Fagg hope shoppers will stop by to check it out. “We retail the items for a nickel on the dollar and it helps get the product back into the hands of people who need it. Anyone can shop here. It makes us feel good to know we're helping people and helping the mission fulfill its ministry of taking care of the needs of the homeless, poor and handicapped.” There are four Lighthouse Mission Thrift Stores in the viewing area. Two are in Terre Haute, one in Brazil and the other is in Clinton. |
