Fire crews responded to a garage fire in Vigo County Sunday night.

It happened at a house on Woodsmall Road in the southern part of the county shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday.

The fire appeared to be minor, but it took several crews from various agencies to put out the blaze.

There were cars in the garage when the fire broke out and there was initial concern the gas tanks would explode.

Homeowners were home at the time of the fire but no one was injured.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
