  • Six Cousins Set To Graduate Together
    Reported by: Dana Winklepleck

"It's been a good experience, but I'm ready to move on," says Lindsey Stevens.
"It's been good being here, but I'm ready to move on with my life and see what's out there," says Lee Phillips.
While they're leaving school, they won't be leaving each other.
The six are cousins belonging to six sisters.
"We've all been really close. Our family is really close," says Lindsey.
So close in fact, they almost all live down the road from each other, on the same hill...
"As little kids our papaw would put us in a little white car and we would all get out one by one and get on the school bus," says Ashley Sanders.
And going to the same school had it's advantages.
"If we had questions, we always called a cousin to ask about what we were doing, so it's been pretty cool," says Kristen Rogers.
"Just having people around you to support you no matter what's going on is just the best feeling you could have," says Lee.
While some of the cousins started kindergarten together, others did not move into the school district until later.
"I moved here in the 6th grade, so it was nice to have friends I knew so I could get used to everything," says Ben Arthur.
"It's been really great because I didn't know anyone but my cousins and they're being there for me, I really appreciate that," says Bryan Boyer.
Ted Baechtold really appreciates the cousins. He teaches them Senior English.
He says they all have a sense of humor and they're all good kids.
"I would say the most important quality they each have is doing what's right. They try to do what's right in the things they do."
And they plan on doing what's right and being there for each other for many years to come.
The cousins have various plans for after high school. One plans to go to Indiana University, another Purdue. Two plan to go to Ivy Tech and the other two are still deciding.
