About Brown Orthopedic
My name is Victor Y.M. Brown, DO, DPM. My family has been involved in the medical profession for three generations. My father was a missionary surgeon in Nairobi, Africa toward the last eight years of a distinguished career and developed my philosophy of medical care and attention to patients. He instilled his philosophy to treat all patients like family because they are someone's loved ones.
I believe in conservative care first, only surgical intervention if necessary. This comes from years of experience watching patients heal many of their injuries simply with bracing, casting, and/ or physical therapy management as needed. I am both a podiatrist and an orthopedic surgeon, spending four years in podiatry school and one year in podiatry residency, four more years in medical school, one year internship, and four more years in orthopedic residency. I was honored to serve in the Air Force for 14 years. After serving at Langley AFB in Virginia, I returned to fellowship training acquiring a one year foot and ankle fellowship at American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama and underwent another fellowship in hand trauma and micro-surgical training at Jackson Memorial Hospital and re-constructive hand fellowship training with Dr. Kirk Watson at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut.

I purposely have a small intimate office with low overhead so I can spend more individual time with all of my patients.
