During her time at Columbia College, she anchored and reported on "NewsBeat," a live, campus-wide newscast, reaching a community of 13,000. She also produced the sports segment.
Kellie also produced (and hosted segments on) "Metro Minutes," a magazine show across campus. For her work on "Metro Minutes," Kellie was nominated for a 2010 Chicago/Midwest Emmy.
Kellie has a passion for sports and while in school, interned at ESPN Radio 1000, the Chicago affiliate for the world's largest sports and news information company. This gave her the chance to work with the nationally syndicated "Mike & Mike in the Morning," meet a number of professional athletes both past and present, like the Chicago Bulls' Joakim Noah and Otis Wilson from the 1985 Super Bowl Chicago Bears, and share her love for the Chicago White Sox and Bears.
Kellie spent her freshman year at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. There, she worked on the school's two TV shows, "From the Boulevard" and the live "SportsZone."
She has a passion for TV and talking about her favorite shows. In her free time, she loves reading, going to concerts and sporting events and attempting to recreate what she sees on HGTV and The Food Network.
Kellie is a Chicago native and loves the Windy City, but is excited to see everything the Wabash Valley has to offer.
