Lucas Mayer

Lucas Mayer joined NBC 2 as a videographer and sports reporter in August 2012. He could not be more excited to continue working in television in the great state of Indiana. An alumni of Indiana University with a degree in Sport Communication Broadcast and a minor in Telecommunications, Lucas was a freelance reporter/videographer for Fox 59 Sports Indianapolis before arriving in Terre Haute.
During college Lucas was the executive producer for Hoosier Sports Nite (Indiana University Student Television). He was able to cover almost every IU sport and followed the basketball team to Portland and Atlanta during the NCAA Tournament.
Lucas was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where a love for sports developed at a young age. He counts himself as a die hard Dodgers and Packers fan.
After graduating high school, he chose Indiana University because of his desire to experience a different part of the country and its many options to become involved in broadcasting. In his spare time, Lucas is a film and television junkie. He also enjoys exercising and playing as many sports as possible.
