There are new developments in our investigation of a local man facing prison time for publicly recording law enforcement.

Michael Allison's case is being appealed to the Illinois Supreme Court.

The state has appealed a Crawford County Judge's decision that ruled the Illinois Eavesdropping Law is unconstitutional.

As we've previously reported, Allison was arrested for eavesdropping by publicly recording law enforcement in Robinson without permission.

I'm glad that this man stood up for himself. I to am a felon because I recorded the police for harassment.
