Terre Haute Ministries is getting involved with disaster relief.

They are collecting donations to take to Southern Indiana.

You can drop off ready-to-eat food, hygiene products, towels or money to local churches or the Furniture Gallery in Terre Haute.

Organizers say helping the community support has already been overwhelming.

"We've seen here locally a great outpouring - that if Terre Haute is nothing else, it is amazingly giving.  The entire Wabash Valley is a giving community, so when we have people that are less than three hours away that have lost everything that they own, Terre Haute is very quick to respond," said Rev. Honnalora Hubbard, Executive Director of Terre Haute Ministries.

Furniture Gallery owner Kim Worland added: "I'm just thinking as a human being and what I want my neighbor to do for me and what my neighbors have done for me.  It's all about our healing.  We're still healing form our own flood and so... pay it forward."
