With the death toll at 39, experts are calling Friday's storms one of the worst tornado outbreaks for early March on record - and peak tornado season is April, May and June.

One way to be prepared - a weather radio.

It broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, bringing continuous local weather updates and emergency information.

These come directly from the National Weather Service, to provide warning, watches, forecasts and other life-saving information.

Weather radios sell at most electronic stores, some for as low as $20.
