Wabash Valley Fair Association officials tell us the chicken chain recently contacted them about building a small restaurant at the Fairgrounds.
The two groups have entered into a purchasing agreement, but talks are still in the very early stages - and nothing is set in stone.
Chick-fil-A will now look into infrastructure and sewerage in the location.
Officials say if the restaurant does move in, it will not affect the functionality of any aspect of the Fairgrounds.
"We did not bring them in, they approached us. They approached us and the board agreed to go ahead and look at that so we did not go out soliciting anything nor are we looking for any further development there whatsoever," said Jennifer Cook, president of the Wabash Valley Fair Association.
Chick-fil-A has more than 1,600 fast food locations nationwide.
