The Vigo County Commissioners unanimously passed an amendment to the County's clean air ordinance.
The ordinance is set to remove an exemption that had been in place for bars and taverns for the last five years.
Now private clubs, non-profit groups, bingo halls, and all places of employment will be smoke free as well.
"Everyone who is trying to make their way and support their families and themselves deserves to have a healthy and safe environment to work in," said Alia Hazel of Vigo Co. Tobacco Precention.
"My vote today was not a hard decision. I've had this decision made for a ling time, like 5 years ago," said County Commissioner Judy Anderson.
