ISU student Helen Corne left for London on Thursday as part of a study-abroad program, and her studies just so happen to coincide with the Olympic Games.
Corne has only been overseas once, during an Army tour of duty in Iraq, and says she can't wait to be in the stands, cheering on the red, white and blue.
"That's going to be exciting. I never thought I would be able to experience anything like that, and to be able to do the study abroad the same month as the Olympics are going on is really cool," said Corne. "I think it's a once in a lifetime... Well because of the price it is a once in a lifetime experience for me...I'm just excited about the whole thing."
Opening Ceremonies for the Summer Games are July 27, and remember you can catch all Olympic-action right here on NBC 2.
