A big step has been made to finish the Red Skelton Museum and Education Center at Vincennes University.

The Eli Lilly Endowment has given a $1 million grant to the Red Skelton Foundation.

It will be added to donations to finally begin work on the project.

The museum will be part of the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.

The actual structure has been finished for several years. Now the interior will be added.

The museum will include all kinds of memorabilia related to the famed comedian. It will also include a small theater.

The project will hopefully be completed next year, the 100th anniversary of Skelton's birth in Vincennes.
