Woodgate subdivision residents attended the Vigo County Area Planning Commission meeting tonight to plead their case.
Residents believe the Cobblestone Crossings apartments are illegally being built behind their homes.
They want the area planning commission to provide a stop work order, and the residents feel optimistic for an out of court remedy.
The meeting took a turn when neighbors discovered a conflict of interest.
An area planning commissioner admitted to being a shareholder of the company that owns Cobblestone.
"He's been involved in the process all along. Specifically in March 2007 where they took the property from R1 to R 3 where they never had the authority to do so. Norm Froderman was the one who set forth the first motion of approval, and it's in the Area Planning Commission Meeting Minutes," said Mike Pointsett.
The Area Planning Commission responded tonight saying they need time to deliberate.
