In Greene County at midday, there was no fire but a heated show of support by fans of the Linton Miners.

Instead of a traditional pep rally, all Linton High School students were released to form a parade route.

The Miner basketball team, headed to the semi-state, made it's way through the students.

The Miners take on Speedway in Richmond Saturday.

The players had no idea this day would come.

Des Fougerousse says, "I know we had a shot but, realistically, no, I thought I'd be throwing a disc right now."

Austin Karazia says, "A lot of hard work's gone into this. We've gotten better over the year, and, uh, we're just very fortunate to be playing tomorrow.

Jackson Bohnert replied when asked if he was nervous, "Not yet. I've played in 2 semi-states and I don't think I'll be too nervous but after the first tip I think I'll be good."

The semi-state game against Speedway will be at 1 p.m. in Richmond on Saturday.
