Occupational therapists say that between 2010 and 2020 the demand for professionals in their field will grow by 33 percent.
Indiana State University has introduced the new Occupational Therapy Program to help meet that need.
The eight semester program will include 27 weeks of clinical experience.
Classes begin May 13th and there are only a few spots left.
The program's Clinical Coordinator says the field is for people who are willing to put others first.

Marlene McDonald- Clinical Coordinator Occupational Therapy
"When they're faced with illness, disease, trauma, a chronic disability, or born with a developmental delay. We work with them individually to restore function and independence in the areas of work, self care, leisure activities."
