Dogs and their owners took a stroll in one Valley city today while raising money for a cause.
The United Way hosted Dog's Day at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
People could bring their dogs for a walk and local business provided grooming and low cost immunizations.
Dogs for adoption from the Humane Society in Terre Haute were there as well.
Event Organizer, Karen Rusk, said, "This was also a benefit for our employees. It was an opportunity to have a fitness walk and again, partake in low cost maintenance activities. We've had a better turn out than I had expected. You can see a lot of dogs socializing, getting ready for their walk, much better than we had even anticipated ourselves."
The United Way will also host an after hours event on Thursday at Oasis at The Landing in Terre Haute.
All money goes to the United Way.
