Twenty-seven mayors, including 8 from the Wabash Valley are backing the former speaker of the Indiana House. The local mayors include: John Flickinger, Bicknell; Ann Bradshaw, Brazil; Roy Terrell Sr., Jasonville; Patti Jones, Linton; Don Bowling, Loogootee; Ed Eble, Sullivan; James Baldwin, Vincennes; and Larry Haag, Washington.
Gregg was appreciative of their support saying it's important to elect a governor who will work well with Indiana's mayors. Gregg currently runs a law practice in Vincennes. His challenger for the democratic nomination is southern Indiana businessman Thomas Lenfert of Georgetown.
Meanwhile, Mike Pence and Jim Wallace are running on the republican ticket.
