There's a new, spicier, alternative for food in the Valley.

Chili's opened its doors Monday in Terre Haute.

The new location, on South US 41, held a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday afternoon before letting customers in to try out the menu.

The restaurant has over 100 new employees, and officials say they are excited to finally be in Terre Haute and serve the community.

"We've been waiting to bring our brand of sizzle and service and great food to Terre Haute.  The timing finally is right for us to enter into the market, and we're glad to bring the Chili's brand and expand on it in Terre Haute," said Timothy Todd, Area Director for Chili's.

The new Chili's is located at 5601 S. Highway 41, and the number there is (812) 645-0131.
