2nd Annual Historic Cemetery Walk

St. Mary-of-the-Woods Village Parish, 3827 N. Arms Place, in northwest Vigo County will be hosting its second Historic Cemetery Walk on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Costumed interpreters will be telling the stories of those who have gone before us. St. Mary's is celebrating the 175th anniversary of the founding of the parish in 1837. A $5.00 donation per person is requested for the Walk.
In the event of bad weather the stories will be told inside the 1867 church building.
Many families have been part of this small parish that was here before its larger neighbors, the Sisters of Providence and St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. Many of these pioneer families still belong to the Village parish. On the first Sunday in May you can meet some of these parish family members as you take a walk in the cemetery!
