One Final Hurdle For RHIT's Sutton Coleman

Coleman won heat one of the 110-meter high hurdles on Friday in a school record time of 14.35 seconds to advance into Saturday's national championship final with the fourth fastest overall time. He leaned at the finish line to narrowly defeat Matt Bundy of Wesley (14.36 seconds) to win the first heat.
On Thursday, Coleman qualified in the fifth spot for the 400-meter intermediate hurdles national championship final. His time of 52.47 seconds marked the second fastest 400-meter hurdles time of Coleman's career.
The mechanical engineering major will compete in the 110-meter high hurdles final on Saturday at 3:25 p.m. PT (6:25 Indiana time). Coleman's 400-meter intermediate hurdles final race is scheduled for Saturday at 4:55 p.m. PT (7:55 p.m. Indiana time).
Coleman has recorded five All-American honors in his Rose-Hulman track and field career entering the 2012 Outdoor Championships. His finishes include second in the indoor 60-hurdles (2012), fourth in the outdoor 400-hurdles (2011), sixth in the indoor 55-meter hurdles (2011), eighth in the outdoor 110-hurdles (2011) and eighth in the outdoor 400-hurdles (2009).
