Democrats in the Valley are setting up shop for election preps.

Sunday was the opening of the new Democratic headquarters on South Third Street in Terre Haute.

Politicians, including Congressional candidate Dave Crooks, were on hand, welcoming volunteers and voters alike.

They say it's imperative to have a presence right here in the Valley.

"We want to go our and have a conversation over the next several months with the people who actually live in the Wabash Valley.  We believe once they know more about our plan to save the Medicare guarantee, to do more to create jobs here at home and to protect the middle class.. it's very important for us to have a central location," said Crooks.

Officials say they're still looking for campaign volunteers. You can stop in to the new headquarters  for more information at 1430 South 3rd Street.
