The Wabash Valley Correctional Facility held its annual graduation ceremony this afternoon.
Inmates received their GED's, vocational, associates or bachelor's degree.
Those who were handed a diploma say this is a life-changing milestone.
"It's really helped me focus on what I need to do, how to better myself to get our of here and go down the right path and stay out of trouble. Education is key and I'm glad I was able to participate in it," said Graduate Kenneth Macken
Because of a decrease in federal funding, inmates will no longer be able to obtain college degrees through the correctional facility, but they will continue to offer GED's and vocational training.
