The Indiana State Department Of Intercollegiate Athletics along with Nelligan Sports Marketing announced today (August 2) the renewal of a long standing partnership with NBC 2 (WTWO) & WAWV TV for the local television broadcast rights of Sycamore football as well as men's and women's basketball and expanding to baseball in 2013.

The renewed agreement calls for the two stations, operated by Nexstar Broadcasting Group, to broadcast home football as well as select home and away men's and women's basketball games over the next three years locally in the Wabash Valley. Beginning with the 2013 campaign, NBC 2 or WAWV will broadcast one home baseball game per season as well.

The first broadcast under the new agreement will be September 15 when the Indiana State football team hosts Drake at Memorial Stadium, beginning at 2:00 p.m. (ET) on WTWO. All basketball broadcasts will be announced after the Missouri Valley Conference schedule is made official and the league's television partners have made their selections.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the Indiana State University athletic program," Tim Sturgess, Vice President and General Manager Of NBC 2 said. "ISU and the Sycamore teams are an important part of our community. Our TV partnership allows fans across the Wabash Valley to experience the excitement of Sycamore sports."

In addition to the broadcast elements of the partnership, NBC 2 and WAWV will engage in several cross promotional activities with Indiana State through social media as well as the television station's popular web site, www.mywabashvalley.com.

NBC 2 Sports Director Jason Pensky, an 18-year veteran of covering Sycamore athletics in the Wabash Valley, will once again serve as the television play-by-play voice for Indiana State football, basketball and baseball.
