Train Strikes and Kills Local Man

One man was killed when he was hit by a train.

It happened around 4 a.m. this morning in Dugger, Indiana.

The train hit and killed a 47-year-old man on the tracks by Main and Second Streets just behind Uptown Tavern.

The Sullivan Co. Sheriff's Dept. reports that the man was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

He was found just off the tracks.

Police are not releasing his name at this time.
