Indiana State Fair Being Called a Success

By: Tom McClanahan
Updated: August 20, 2012
Nearly a million people attended this year's Indiana State Fair. Experts are saying good weather at the end and wide variety of events pushed attendance up.

Overall around 854,000 people went to the State Fair. This year the fair lasted 17 days, only the second time it's gone that long.

Six days of high heat and stormy weather kept total attendance down.

Special ticket pricing helped in attracting fair goers during the rest of the time.
