Tainted food heading to restaurants in the Wabash Valley is confiscated.

Indiana State Police stopped a food delivery truck for a routine inspection Thursday morning on Interstate 70 in Putnam County.

Police say the truck's refrigerator unit was not working, so the eggs and cream cheese were 57 degrees - well above the acceptable temperature.

The food was thrown away.

Police say the eggs and cream cheese were bound for Asian restaurants in Terre Haute as well as Charleston and Danville, Illinois.
