Ed Willis faces charges that he violated a local sign-size ordinance.
It stems from his lawn protest of President Barack Obama - a display which featured signs, a cross and coffin, and was taken down earlier this year by the city because it was deemed too big.
In Terre Haute City Court Friday morning, Willis said he did nothing wrong.
He tells us that he's not only fighting the charges, he's not done building.
"Freedom of speech has a clause in it protects me from harassment, threat and reprisal from the government," said Willis. "It's going to be like a speech. The speech of all speeches. And they ain't gonna like it."
Willis is scheduled to go on trial December 7.
