Indiana State University students participated in the Up 'Til Dawn event Wednesday night.
The event that benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital involves preparing letters that ask for people to donate to the hospital.
Organizers say all of the money goes straight to the hospital and helps pay for patients' treatments, and that means a lot to the ISU students who participate in the event.
"I actually visited the hospital two summers ago and I got to talk to a couple of the patients. I told them I was a part of Up 'Til Dawn and they knew all about it. One patient, a little girl, gave me the biggest hug and said 'thank you'," says Janessa Wolf, the Up 'Til Dawn executive director and ISU student.
This is the fourth year ISU has held this event.
