A university in the Valley sends graduates out into the real world.
Indiana State University held their winter commencement Saturday.
A procession of more than 800 students filed into the Hulman Center.
Excited loved ones cheered on as they watched students become graduates.
Students say they are honored to share their accomplishments, and thankful for the preparation Indiana State has given them for the professional world.
"I feel very prepared after the whole internship and student teaching, I was out there for a full year. I am the first one in my family to graduate, so it's very important to them. I'm glad they are here and watching me," said Whitney Tharp.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Craig Mckee delivered the alumni address to graduates.
Bradley Hobbs of Indianapolis delivered the student address to his fellow graduates.
