Crews rescue a horse who fell through a swimming pool cover.

The Vigo County Sheriff's Department said it happened a little after 8 Sunday morning at the Harvey residence on US 41 South.

When police arrived, they found the horse standing on only two hooves, and her other two were in the deep end.

Deputy Steve Meng and two men were able to guide the horse to the shallow end as additional help arrived.

Soon, she was out of the pool.

The horse was shivering badly, but a veterinarian says she'll fully recover.

Police were able to locate the horse's owner, who told them the horse is blind.
