Park Vandalism Has Officials Reaching Out to Community

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Brazil City officials are trying to stop vandalism. Skateboarders have caused damage in some of the city parks. Officials are saying it`s time for a community effort to stop vandalism at Forest Park in Brazil. Benches and tables at Forest park are broken and disorganized, something parks officials say is not only dangerous, but costly. There has been talk of putting in security cameras or hiring a security guard, but the park`s budget is simply too tight to allow it. They say since taxpayers are the true owners of the parks` property, the vandals are ruining more than benches. For now the Brazil Parks Department is encouraging Brazil residents to pass through the park if they have extra time. They say if you see vandalism to call the Brazil Police Department.
