Former Clinton Policeman Wins Appeal

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Rick Lindsey was fired when he was on the Clinton City Police Department in May of last year for official misconduct. The city released Lindsey for making a drunk driving arrest a quarter of a mile outside the Clinton city limits in November of 2004. Lindsey appealed the ruling. The appellate court rendered a unanimous decision to overturn the city`s action. That means Lindsey must be re-instated on the Clinton City Police Department and be given back pay and benefits that could total around $75,000. Lindsey is currently working as a dispatcher for the Parke County Sheriff`s Department
