Local businesses got a chance on Thursday to see how media advertising could improve their bottom line.

The Television Bureau of Advertising held a seminar at the Ohio Building in Terre Haute Thursday morning.

Local companies heard from experts and talked to television outlets, including WAWV and NBC 2.

Organizers say it's critical for businesses to utilize the media to help spread the word about their companies.

"Business owners are interested in growing their business, and that's where they come out here because there are a lot of different ways to do it but media plays a very important role in growing a small businesses and in fact growing large businesses as well," said Brad Seitter of the Television Bureau of Advertising.
