A deadly accident involving three semis shuts down west-bound lanes of Interstate 70.

The crash happened around 8:30 Thursday night near the 23 mile marker not far from Brazil. Police say one semi came across a tree in the middle of the road. The driver couldn't stop and went off the road. That driver was killed in the crash.

Two other semis behind the first one hit the tree. The drivers of those semis were not injured.

We're told the west-bound lanes of traffic are closed at the 37 mile marker. Traffic is being re-routed at exit 41 through Brazil to State Road 59 then back to I-70.
