Some nationally acclaimed authors make a stop in Terre Haute to introduce the Valley to their work.

Pastors and New York Times best selling authors Kerry Shook and his wife Chris attended Terre Haute's Maryland Community Church Sunday.

They talked about their book "One Month to Live."

The book aims to encouarge adults to make the rest of their lives count.

Their son's Ryan and Josh also wrote a book called, "Ditching Secondhand Religion for a Faith of your Own."

The Shook boys say it's about discovering what you really believe despite what you've been told.

I think the truth is that religion and spirituality isn't so much about trends, but what's applicable to you," said Ryan Shook.

"We believe that if you live the next 30 days as if it's your last, we believe that you'll feel more alive than ever," said Kerry Shook.

"We realize that it's not a scary thing that we will come to the end of our days, it's just something to keep in mind. We realized that our days our numbered and we want to make them count. With that in mind you have to ask yourself what you really want to do and what are the most important things," said Chris Shook.

You can find their books on Amazon, and at bookstores near you.
