Wabash Valley YMCA's are gearing up for summer - and need your help.

The Y's in Vigo, Clay and Putnam Counties are in the middle of the Strong Kids Campaign.

It's an annual fundraiser that's now in its sixth year.

All of the money raised will help financial assistance programs for this year's summer camps and swim lessons.

Officials say this campaign allows the YMCA to provide adequate services for summer activities, and the money stays right here in the community.

"We are looking at care development, we're looking at giving healthy meals and opportunities to the kids that they might not.
That overall strength is our community. Social why, in partnership with people who can donate are helping to support the future of our community," said Deborah Plummer, CEO of the YMCA of Clay County.

The Strong Kids Campaign runs through the end of the month.

You can make a pledge in person at the Clay, Vigo or Putnam Counties YMCA's, or over the phone with a credit card.
